Three people came early to the meeting to learn more about this Wiki.
Eleven representatives from Harvard [Harvard Historical Society, Fruitlands, Nashoba Valley Concert Band],
Littleton [Reuben Hoar Libary, Littleton Historical Society, Indian Hill Music], Ayer [Ayer Historical Commission],
Shirley [Shirley Historical Society], and Pepperell [Lawrence Library] gathered to learn grant writing pointers
from Carolyn Berry Copp, Director of Development at Indian Hill Music. We learned a lot. Carolyn answered
our questions and provided her contact information [carolyn@indianhillmusic.org]
in case we had more. She suggested using resources from Association of Fundraising Professionals,
Women in Development and Associated Grant Makers.
We talked about distributing the Directory more widely. Lawrence Library in Pepperell and Indian Hill in Littleton
have many boxes of directories that should get out to the community. Pick some up and give them to community
groups and sites that interact with the public. Your real estate agents might be interested in some for their
offices. Deb Spratt will see if we can have a small table at Taste of Nashoba Valley in March and will be sure that
the chamber of commerce has a supply of directories.
We had our usual discussion about collaborations and will undoubtedly see some of the ideas develop.
